I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been practicing in the Bay Area for 12 years working with adolescents, adults, couples and the LGBT community. After graduate school I spent 2 years in an intensive internship at the Pacific Center where I learned some modern and exciting new approaches to psychotherapy. My interest in health and wellness began as a young adult after going through the mental health care system myself and having countless hours of unsuccessful therapy sessions. After many years of personal self-discovery and thousands of hours of professional training, I’ve been able to create an approach to psychotherapy that really works, and a life that I love and know I deserve.
In 2013 I suffered a major medical condition that temporarily impaired my memory, altered the way I process information and learn new things. Fortunately I had an amazing team of professionals who supported me through a full recovery, but it was very difficult and I managed to persevere and I want to help you do the same with the struggles that you face.
I believe that when an individual finds peace and happiness within, their presence not only positively impacts them personally, but all those around them. Choosing to do my own inner-work provides me with a greater insight and makes me a therapist with integrity, one who is direct, results oriented, extremely resilient, and very compassionate.
I’m passionate to work with people who are in a transitional point in their life, want to develop a better connection with themselves, want better ways to deal with stress, and have a profound desire to have more confidence in their journey. I’m particularly skilled at helping those with unresolved traumas that may be holding them back from living a happy and healthy life.

My approach is strength-based, interactive and goal-oriented. I work well with all populations, but my specialty and passion are working with those in the LGBT community, Hetero-individuals as well as couples – including those in non-traditional relationships.
I’m married to my wonderful partner, Paul who has played an integral part in my personal and professional development. I’m passionate about politics, cultural diversity, the arts, and music. I’m a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Judo, a meditator, musician, and active community member.
I was born and raised in the Bay Area which helped me develop a deep curiosity about human relationships and cultural diversity; which is what led me to a career in psychology.
